22nd October 2010: DPPA make performance gurantees.

 

22nd October 2010 at 1400hrs Unit 2 at Eraring Power Station was tested at full load capability of 720MW. This unit was performance tested as per contracted and passed all performance guarantees. Eraring Energy are satisfied with the performance of the upgraded unit with capacity of 720MW and beyond.
  

 

27th June 2008: Doosan-PPI Consortium wins Eraring Boiler Upgrade Design Contract

 

Following previous success with securing the contract to upgrade Eraring Energy`s 4 X 660MW turbo-generators, Doosan PPI Projects Australia (DPPA) has won a contract for the modelling and detailed design of boiler upgrades to provide increase steaming rate to match the upgraded turbines. Design Work has commenced immediately on receipt of order, with a tight program of works to deliver the design to meet the September 2009 first upgrade schedule.

 
 

5th December 2007: Doosan-PPI Consortium wins Eraring Turbine Upgrade Contract

Eraring Energy, owners of the Eraring Power Station on the shores of Lake Macquarie, NSW, have awarded the contract for upgrade of their turbo-generators to Doosan PPI Projects Australia. This contract involves increasing the capacity of the turbine/generator from 660MW to 750MW. Design and manufacturing will commence immediately, with the first installation outage scheduled from September 2009.
