Safety
Our company is committed to protecting the safety and wellbeing of our employees. We have implemented an OHS&R system which is based on regular communication with our employees to ensure that work can be planned and executed in a low-risk environment. Our system was developed in accordance with the NSW government’s OHS&R Management Systems Guidelines, 4th Edition, and is regularly externally audited.
The focus of our OHS&R system is on ensuring that employees involved in potentially hazardous activities:
- understand the risks present in the job relation to construction and maintenance.
- know how to mitigate these risks base on extensive experiences.
Our Safe Work Method Statements provide a simple and direct format for identifying risks and control measures. These documents, together with procedures written for potentially hazardous activities, form the core of our safety management system.
As each new project starts, all employees are provided with instruction based on the SWMS.
Daily toolbox meetings provide a consultation mechanism to capture the experience of our employees and adapt our practices to continually improve.
We ensure that each of our site subcontractors has in place an excellent safety management system, or alternatively works under our OHS&R system.
