Eraring Energy, owners of the Eraring Power Station on the shores of Lake Macquarie, NSW, have awarded the contract for upgrade of their turbo-generators to Doosan PPI Projects Australia. This contract involves increasing the capacity of the turbine/generator from 660MW to 750MW. Design and manufacturing will commence immediately, with the first installation outage scheduled from September 2009.
